Teoni (b. 2000) is a London-based Painter that explores human connection through portraiture that is both warm yet confronting, intense and at the same time inviting. Born and raised in North West London, she graduated from Middlesex University with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art in 2022.
Teoni has developed an independent artistic practice that extends beyond traditional gallery spaces. Her work is characterised by her reinterpretation of everyday life through expressive figurative paintings of predominantly oils paint and pastels. Moving between tenderness and intensity, her portraits celebrate individuality while exploring the complexities of the human condition, identity, vulnerability and experiences that connect us.
In 2024, she presented her debut solo exhibition in, Honey, in London. A intimate collection of works examining love, friendship interpersonal relationships.
Teoni’s aim is to invite viewers to reconsider the familiar, find moments in tenderness, tension and the beauty in slow moments of our everyday lives.
